1. “You are my Sunshine” Mother’s Day Card

Step 1: Write "You are my sunshine" on a sheet of light blue card stock paper. We have three different variations for you to choose from. Two with the message on the front of the card in horizontal and vertical, and one with the message printed on the inside of the card.

Step 2: Fold your light blue cardstock in half to create your folded card

Step 3: Flatten out your yellow cupcake liner. Add glue on the back of it and glue in the center of the front of your Mother’s Day card.

Step 4: Glue your googly eyes onto the cupcake liner. Then draw a smiley face on your sun with a red crayon.

Step 5: Use an orange crayon to draw lines around the ridged edge of the cupcake liner for sun rays

Step 6: Take two “M” letter stickers and place one on each side of the cupcake liner. The sun acts as the O for MOM. This step is optional. If you don’t have letter stickers, simply write an M on each side of the sun with a crayon. You can also leave the letters off entirely if you are making the card for grandma, or another loved one.

Step 7: Open up your sunshine Mother’s Day card and write a personal message on the inside. Now your card is ready to give to Mom, grandma or a loved one for Mother’s Day.

 2. Mother’s Day Coffee Card

Step 1: Use the photos below as a guide to draw the pieces you will need for your coffee card. We have a few different variations of the coffee cup for you to choose from. One reads “Mom, You are BREW-tiful!” on the inside and one reads “I love you a “latte” Mom!”. We also have a blank version of the template if you prefer to write your own personal message.

Step 2: Cut out each of the pieces

Step 3: Fold the coffee cup in half along the line in the middle to create a folded card with the saying on the inside of the card.

Step 4: Add glue at the bottom of the coffee cup lid and glue it onto the back of the coffee card. Then glue the coffee sleeve on the front of the card in the center.

Step 5: Peel off the backing from a felt heart sticker and place it in the center of the coffee sleeve.

Step 6: Cut off a section of red baker’s twine about 18 inches long. Tape the center of the twine on the back of the coffee card. Turn your card over and tie a bow in the baker’s twine to seal your Mother’s Day card shut.

When Mom is ready to open up her card, she simply unties the baker’s twine bow and reveals the sweet message on the inside of the card.

Step 1: Pick your favorite colors. Have the kids either paint their hands by using a paintbrush or have them dip their palms in paint. Let them press down their hands on white paper (pretty hard) and then, in one swift motion remove the hand to make the handprint.

Step 2: Make one, two, three, four or more handprints in one ir more colors.
Let the paint dry. Once dry, cut along the handprint.

Step 3: Glue the handprint on a sheet of paper or canvas.

Step 4: Draw flower stems with green paint (or marker). Decorate with a bow and write your Mother’s day message.

4. Mother’s Day Birdhouse Card

Step 1: Use the photos below as a guide to draw the pieces you will need for your Birdhouse card. Use the bird pieces and large heart as a template to trace the pieces on colored cardstock paper. We used black for the birdhouse hole and chose a variety of colors for our birds. You will also need to cut out small triangles from orange cardstock paper for your bird beaks.

Step 2: Glue the birdhouse hole heart on the front of the Mother’s Day card. Then glue either the MOM, GRANDMA or blank card tag on the front of the card. We included a blank tag so the card can be personalized however you need. You can also leave off the name tag from the front of the card.

Step 3: Open up the card. Choose which message you want to include on the inside of the card and use a glue stick to glue it inside the card.

Step 4: Glue both the Mom and child bird shapes on the inside of the card so they are facing each other. Then glue the bird wings, beaks and googly eyes on each of the birds.

Step 5: Close the card. Add a line of tacky glue along the bottom of the birdhouse and place a craft stick on it. Add a line of tacky along along the birdhouse roof of the card and place craft sticks on it. One of the craft sticks will have to overlap the end of the other at the very tip of the birdhouse. Allow the glue to dry completely for handling the card.

5. Mother’s Day Flower Card

Step 1: Use one flower to trace around colored cardstock. Trace 5 flowers and cut them out.

Step 2: Glue 3 flowers to the top of a sheet of white cardstock. Curl the flower petals up to make them look 3D.

Step 3: Cut out strips of green paper for the flower stems and glue below the flowers.

Step 4: Draw the mason jar card on light beige paper and cut it out. You will need 2 mason jars for the card.

Step 5: Glue the top of the card on by gluing the left side of the jar only. This will allow you to open up the card. Cut out the 5 circle centers for the flowers.

Step 6: Write nice things about Mom on the circle centers with a black marker. Glue these circles to the center of the flowers.
